That's right. Rutabaga Garden Tools received recognition for not only their durable and ergonomic design but also the eco-conscious steps taken throughout the development and production process to bring the world garden tools that are both family and planet-friendly.
To create our tools, we partnered with The Ocean Legacy Foundation, and our safe, BPA-free tools are made from recycled material recovered from our oceans and collected along shorelines.
In addition, instead of commercialized rubber, we worked with Green Dot Bioplastics to coat each handle with a comfortable starch-based bioplastic elastomer that is safe and free of phthalates, bisphenol A, lead, and cadmium.
